Making calls
You can make a call by dialing a phone number manually, or use the smart dial function to quickly find numbers from your contacts list and call logs.
Dual SIM users can set a default SIM card for placing calls, or have the option to select the SIM card each time you place a call. Find and tap Settings > Network & Internet > Dual SIM > Calls to select an option.

To open the dialpad
- Find and tap
. - If the dialpad does not appear, tap
.
To dial a phone number
- Find and tap
. - If the call log appears, tap
to display the dialpad. - Enter the phone number, and tap
. - Dual SIM users, select a SIM card if prompted.
To make a call using smart dial
- Find and tap
. - If the call log appears, tap
to display the dialpad. - Use the dialpad to enter letters or numbers that correspond to the contact you want to call. As you enter each letter or number, a list of possible matches appears.
- Tap the contact that you want to call.
- Dual SIM users, select a SIM card if prompted.
To make an international call
- Find and tap
. The call log is displayed. - Tap
to display the dialpad. - Touch and hold 0 until a "+" sign appears.
- Enter the country code and the area code without the initial zeros, followed by the phone number. Then tap
. - Dual SIM users, select a SIM card if prompted.
To add a direct dial number to your Home screen
- In the customization menu, tap Widgets > Shortcuts.
- Scroll through the list of applications and select Direct dial.
- Select the contact and the number that you want to use as the direct dial number.
To show or hide your phone number during outgoing calls
- Find and tap
. - Tap
> Settings > Calls. - Dual SIM users, select a SIM card.
- Tap Additional settings > Caller ID, and choose an option.
