    Terminology

    Account Personal service or information that you agreed to get from some party. It’s connected with your identity, for example, a user name and password.
    Application A phone program designed to help you perform a task
    Domain A zone or address area on the Internet designated to a specific company or institute
    GPS Global Positioning System. A GPS receiver uses satellite signals to calculate your location.
    Home screen Your gateway to the main features in your phone
    PIN You may need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to activate the services and functions in your phone. Each PIN digit appears as *, unless it starts with emergency number digits, for example, 112 or 911. You can call an emergency number without entering a PIN.
    Server address Identification for a server. Needed when you want to find and connect to a specific server in the network or on the Internet.
    SIM card The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, which you get from your network operator, contains information about your subscription. Always turn off your phone and detach the charger before you insert or remove the SIM card.
    Status bar Appears at the top of the screen. Displays notifications and information such as battery level and signal strength.
    Synchronisation Getting the email, contacts and calendar items you have stored online or on a private server to your phone and also transferring related data from your phone in the other direction.
    Wallpaper The picture that is shown in the background of your Home screen
    Widget Part of an application that you can use directly on your Home screen
