    WhatsApp Messenger is a third-party, cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages with other WhatsApp users. The only charges incurred, if any, are data charges, so it's best to use WhatsApp when you're connected to a Wi-Fi® network. There is no charge per message as, for example, with text messaging (SMS).
