    Call settings

    Barring calls

    You can bar all or certain categories of incoming and outgoing calls. When you use call barring for the first time, you need to enter your PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) and then a new password to activate the call barring function.

    To block incoming or outgoing calls

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Tap Call barring.
    3. Select an option.
    4. Enter the password and tap Enable.

    Note

    When you set up call blocking for the first time, you need to enter a password to activate the call blocking function. You must use this same password later if you want to edit call blocking settings.

    Rejecting a call with a message

    You can reject a call with a predefined message. When you reject a call with such a message, the message is automatically sent to the caller and saved on your device.

    Six messages are predefined on your device. You can select from these predefined messages, which can also be edited if necessary.

    To reject a call with a predefined message

    • Drag Reject with message upward, then select a message.

    To reject a second call with a predefined message

    • When you hear repeated beeps during a call, drag Reject with message upward, then select a message.

    To edit the message used to reject a call

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Find and tap General > Reject call with message.
    3. Tap the message that you want to edit, then make the necessary changes.
    4. Tap OK.

    Forwarding calls

    You can forward calls, for example, to another phone number, or to an answering service.

    To forward calls

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Select a SIM card.
    3. Tap Call forwarding.
    4. Select an option.
    5. Enter the number that you want to forward the calls to, then tap Enable.

    To turn off call forwarding

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Select a SIM card.
    3. Tap Call forwarding.
    4. Select an option, then tap Disable.

    Forwarding calls automatically between SIM cards

    If you are taking a call on SIM card 1 and a call comes in on SIM card 2, you can get the second call forwarded automatically to SIM 1, and vice versa. All you have to do is activate the mutual call forwarding function and deactivate regular call forwarding. By activating mutual call forwarding, you ensure that don't miss any incoming calls to either SIM card.

    Note

    Additional charges may be incurred when calls are forwarded using this feature.

    To turn on the mutual call forwarding function

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Dual SIM settings.
    2. Drag the slider beside Call forward mutually to the right to turn on the mutual call forwarding function. The function should now be activated.
    3. If the relevant phone numbers for the SIM cards cannot be detected automatically, you must complete the setup manually. When prompted, tap OK, then enter the phone numbers of the two SIM cards between which you want to forward calls, then tap Done.

    Note

    Your phone supports the concurrent use of one WCDMA network and one GSM network, or two GSM networks.

    Tip

    Remember that this function only works when both SIM cards are active and regular call forwarding is turned off.

    To change settings for mutual call forwarding

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Dual SIM settings.
    2. Make sure that the mutual call forwarding function is turned on.
    3. Tap Call forward mutually.
    4. When prompted, enter a new phone number, then tap Done.

    To turn off the mutual call forwarding function

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Dual SIM settings.
    2. Drag the slider beside Call forward mutually to the left to turn off the mutual call forwarding function.

    Showing or hiding your phone number

    You can select to show or hide your phone number on call recipients' devices when you call them.

    To show or hide your phone number

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Select a SIM card.
    3. Tap Additional settings > Caller ID.

    Restricting outgoing calls

    If you have received a PIN2 code from your service provider, you can use a list of Fixed Dialling Numbers (FDNs) to restrict outgoing calls to contacts that you include on this list.

    If you have received a PIN2 code from your service provider, you can use a list of Fixed Dialling Numbers (FDNs) to restrict outgoing calls to contacts that you include on this list. Each SIM card in your device has its own separate FDN list.

    To enable or disable fixed dialling

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Select a SIM card.
    3. Tap Fixed dialling numbers.
    4. If you want to enable fixed dialing, select Activate fixed dialling. If you want to disable fixed dialing, select Deactivate fixed dialling.
    5. Enter your PIN2 and tap OK.

    To add a number to the list of Fixed Dialing Numbers

    1. Drag the status bar downwards, then tap Icn sony menu settings > Call settings.
    2. Select a SIM card.
    3. Tap Fixed dialling numbers > FDN list.
    4. If there are no contacts on your SIM card, tap Icn sony key menu.
    5. Enter the desired information, then tap Save.
    6. If necessary, enter a PIN2, and tap Save.
