What will happen to Quick Charge in Android 9.0?

Arrow left Fast Charger UCH32C support overview

Google has chosen to only support the USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) charging solution for Android 9.0 Pie. Since Xperia XZ3 is launching with Android 9.0, Sony has created a compatible PD charger, UCH32C, that is available from early 2019.

However, earlier devices that already support QC 2.0/3.0 and get upgraded to Android Pie will keep working as intended with Sony quick chargers such as UCH12W.
